In 2017 Tom Puckett, Jack Liggett, Cliff Butler, Bob Lee, Craig Bradbury, and Norm Walters formed the “Veterans at Wind Crest” to create a Veterans Day program. It was such a success we continued to develop programs to support Veterans and entertain residents.
To date we have established a Veterans Day Celebration, quarterly speakers program, Quilt of Valor program to honor all Veterans at Wind Crest, provide Veterans in need an electric motorized vehicle and support for Rocky Mountain Honor Flights.
We have established relationships with the Vietnam Veterans of America, The American legion, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Veterans Administration, Forgotten Heroes Campaign, and various governmental organizations providing support for our Veterans.
We established a Memorial Center with a flag pole holding the American Flag and the POW/MIA Flag. The seating area displays seals of the armed services of America.
In partnership with our Wind Crest staff we recognize important military holidays and a Missing Man table in our restaurants.
